January 2008 Dear VSA, We are writing to you on behalf of a group of Vietnamese Students and Alumni regarding China intensifying its illegal acts of aggression and invasion of Vietnam's Paracel and Spratly islands, also known as Hoang Sa and Truong Sa. This is a pivotal time in the history of Vietnamese people and despite being overseas, we can play a key role defending Vietnam's sovereignty over these archipelagos as well as defending Vietnam's rights in the Eastern Sea (South China Sea).
